The record labels Mightier Than Sword and Academy Fight Song will be releasing the 1999 debut of The Juliana Theory's Understand This is a Dream. Available from 23rd March 2010, the pre-sale for the record starts on February 1st, 2010 at 5pm GMT or Midday EST.

The remastered vinyl re-issue will include a never-before-heard track from the original recording session, as well as liner notes from Brett Detar.

The release is limited to the following:
180 gramme Blue vinyl, only 500 copies on Academy Fight Song Records
180 gramme BLue vinyl, only 500 copies on Mightier Than Sword Records

The Juliana Theory have announced that to mark the 10th anniversary of the album Emotion is Dead the band will reunite for two shows to play the entire of the record from start to finish. The shows will double as a farewell to the fans after the group disbanded back in 2006.

Juliana Theory singer Brett Detar has shared the story behind the Emotion Is Dead artwork through his Facebook page. With images, it's a fascinating anecdote whereby you get to see the original design.

Juliana Theory singer Brett Detar has shared a free downloadable demo of the Deadbeat Sweetheart track Shotgun Serenade through his Facebook page.

The band have set up Twittter and Facebook accounts to keep in touch with fans, along with it some strange messages promising 'good things are coming'.

To mark the tenth anniversary of the release of Understand This Is A Dream, the group is planning to release the album on vinyl with a rare b-side of a song Brett and Fiedler recorded in the living room of former producer Barry Poynter.

"We are also trying hard for a release of a full B-Sides album, but we can't promise anything at the moment. Just cross your fingers, and hope all the stars align!"

Also, former members new band, Vesta, play one of their first live shows.

Josh Fiedler and Chad Alan took part in a web chat and did a little Q and A for a few hours on Absolutepunk.net on Monday night. Lines of questioning included reunions, not being a Christian band and new project Vesta.

Chad Alan has been playing with Derek White and The Monophobics for the last few months. They will be will be releasing their album digitally on Saturday, March 1st 2008.

Drummer Josh Walters can be heard on tracks from Jade Meridian. Jade Meridian is Scott from Zao's solo project. Chip will also be playing drums for Zao whenever they play live.
